The clear and Crystal waters of Mombasa Beach

Although Kenya is well known for its great wildlife it has great beaches too. Most of the beaches are found in the coastal town of Mombasa.

The beaches are spectacular and have clean, clear and sky blue waters; they are a favorite of both the local and international guests.

A lot of activities take place on the beaches, with people participating in water sports or just enjoying the sunshine. Scuba divers also get a chance to explore the deep waters. The most famous beaches are Nyali and Bamburi beaches.

Beaches in Kenya

Diani Beach

It is one of the most busiest beaches in Kenya. It has a lot of hotels resorts and activities such as water sports, camel riding, boat tours etc.

Tiwi Beach

It is a lovely quite beach that has small cottages. It is a great and safe spot for swimming as the reef is very close.

Shelly Beach

It gets its name from its shells. It is very close to Mombasa. One can swim at the Shelly Beach during high tides.

Nyali Beach

It is the first beach to the north of Mombasa. It is a long straight stretch mainly taken up by hotels. The shopping center at Nyali has a big Nakumatt supermarket, an internet cafe and a good book store.

Bamburi Beach

Bamburi beach is known for its good restaurants, huge hotels and busy night clubs. Water sports like scuba diving, snorkeling and water skiing are offered by the hotels.
