Nairobi being the capital city has a lot of entertainment activities.
Most clubs have theme nights and guests are treated to various cultural nights, most also offer live music.
Kenya is home to a number of great
s which offer great entertainment. Most of the clubs and discos do not close until the early hours due to this Mombasa is known as "the town that never sleeps".
Some of well known clubs and discos include;
Florida 2000 (Nairobi and Mombasa) – The clubs attract both foreign and local visitors; they have theme nights with Reggae night taking place every Sunday. The Clubs have disc jockeys who keep revelers on their feet.
Casablanca (Nairobi and Mombasa) – the clubs offers great entertainment and the party does not stop till early in the morning.
Carnivore (Nairobi) – it is one of the most famous clubs in Kenya thanks to its mouth watering “nyama choma” (roasted meat) and game meat. Great music and theme nights (Kenyan night, Kamba night) are organized.
Kenya has not been left behind when it comes to cinemas, Hollywood and Bollywood movies are some of the attractions for example Kenya Cinema, Drive in cinema, 20th Century cinema among others.
There are a number of theaters which offer both local and international plays; the Kenya National Theatres is the most famous. Art lovers are given a taste of the African arts and crafts, galleries are open to all.
Mombasa is home to great attractions and hence great entertainment. One of the well known activities is dhow trips which can be taken both at day time and at night.
Hotels and lodges also host various cultural events, with the Masaai being the most popular amongst cultural dialects and visitors are treated to various cultural songs.
Other great activities to look out for include the annual International Camel Derby at Maralal in the Samburu District in August.
A must see for all visitors is the migration of the wildebeest through the Masaai Mara. They arrive in July and August, and turn back again in October. It is a spectacular site and it one of the seven wonders of the world.
