Oldonyo Sabuk National Park

Oldonyo Sabuk National Park is in Eastern province Thika town north east of Nairobi in kaNgundo district above the Athi plaine  and hazily visiblefrom Nairobi.Oldonyo Sabuks a densely forested mountain known to the locals  Kikuyu as 'The Mountainof the Buffalo" and to the maasai as the 'ThE Big  Mountain ' sidnce it is comprised of the mountain slopes and ravines enterelyforested except at the top.

With An altitude of1,524-2,145 meters above sea level with a changing climate of hot and dry ,hot and wet,warm and dry and warm and wet respectively.entrance is at 6:00am-7:00pm including public holidays.charges are at the gate with cash or US$, since the park does not have safari card system at present.
